Man Shot, Killed At Tulsa Apartment Complex

TULSA, OK -- A man identified as Pedro Sanchez was shot and killed just after 1:30 a.m. Saturday at Plantation Apartments, 47th and Fulton. His wife and two small children witnessed the shooting, police say.

The family of four was leaving the apartment complex when their vehicle was approached by four men, according to Corporal Dallas Jones of the Tulsa Police Department. The driver was told to put the car in park and turn off the engine. He attempted to drive away from the scene but was shot in the chest, police say.

"Right now we have no indication of why they approached the vehicle," Corporal Dallas Jones said. "The victim's family witnessed everything."

Tulsa Fire and EMSA were quick to the scene, but Sanchez died at St. Francis Hospital. Sanchez was thought to be in his upper 30s, according to police.

Family members described the suspects as black men wearing black bandanas.
