TULSA, OK -- A man is recovering from injuries suffered after Tulsa police officers say a pickup truck ran him over.
The incident occurred at about 1:00 a.m. Saturday in the 2100 block of North Atlanta.
Officers with the Tulsa Police Department say witnesses told them a dark blue Chevy S-10 Pickup was traveling east on Virgin with its headlights off.
The victim was walking along the street when witnesses say the driver of the truck sped up and intentionally ran him over. Witnesses saw the truck leave the scene.
"Right now we're looking at the angle of maybe this is a previous altercation that had occurred at some other location and they hunted him down," said Captain Shawn King, Tulsa Police Department. "We're still trying to work all those details."
Officers say the victim suffered a head wound, but was alert when EMSA transported him. He is expected to be all right.
