Tulsa Pets Looking For New Homes

TULSA, OK -- Some Tulsa pets are hitting the road to find new homes. It's all part of the Get Your Licks On Route 66 Pet Tour.

The animals are gathered from local shelters, put on a big bus and taken on tour throughout town looking for people to adopt them.

Organizers say getting the pets out of shelters makes adoption more convenient and shows people how great having a pet really is.

"Having a pet in your house really turns a house into a home and they're just such great spirits," said Greg Sims, Fido Friendly.

If you're looking for a furry friend, you can catch the tour bus Monday. It will be in Broken Arrow at the Walmart on West Kenosha from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
