TULSA, OK -- The Tulsa Fire Department donated a retired Tulsa International Airport fire rescue truck to the city of Tulsa's Sister City, San Luis Potosi, Mexico.

Tulsa Fire Chief Allen LaCroix was on hand for the Friday morning ceremony.

"Together we do things better.  Everybody does something a little different.  Everybody does something that other people can benefit from," said Tulsa Fire Chief Allen LaCroix.

Friday afternoon the truck was loaded onto a rail car for shipment to Mexico.   The BNSF railroad is donating the car and cost of transportation.

"BNSF Railway is pleased to participate as a community partner in this Sister City program," said John Ambler, BNSF Vice President of Corporate Relations.

The ceremony took place at the Tulsa Fire Department Field Operations Office.
