TULSA, OK -- There is a new proposal for school start times at Tulsa Public Schools.  TPS wants to cut 20 bus routes next year to save nearly $500,000.  But to do that, they need to change some school start times.

The district's latest proposal does not affect start times at elementary schools, but middle schools would start and end 10 minutes later than this year.  High schools would start and dismiss 20 minutes later.

Most stand-alone schools would not change, but there some exceptions.  Read more about the proposals.

TPS has already introduced two proposals.  One included starting elementary schools 10 minutes earlier.  Many parents criticized the plan saying the district should look elsewhere for savings.
