BROKEN ARROW, OK --  One person was hurt in a wreck in Broken Arrow Friday morning.

The crash happened on 121st Street west of Elm shortly before 6 a.m. Friday.

Broken Arrow Police said the driver was westbound when he lost control of his car and went off the road to the right.

Police say the driver overcorrected, causing the car to crash through the guardrail.

The car didn't stop until it was upside down in a creek bed.

Nearby residents heard the crash and called 911 and police officers pulled the man out of the vehicle.

The unidentified man was taken by medical helicopter to a Tulsa hospital.

Broken Arrow Police said the victim was alert and talking to them.

Police officers told The News On 6 speed and alcohol may have contributed to the accident.
