TULSA, OK -- A camp for developmentally disabled children has been spared. The DDA Summer Camp was on the verge of closing when long-time benefactor, SemGroup, withdrew its funding.
Some Tulsa-area organizations joined forces to make sure these kids weren't left without the camp.
"Where they can go and have fun and be themselves and play and just be out in the community and have fun. And, without it, most of these campers would be at home sitting in front of the TV," said Jeff Summers with the Bridges Foundation.

The Zarrow Foundation, The City of Owasso and QuikTrip are helping fund the camp. The Tulsa Parks Department and PEPCO are providing the location, and the Bridges Foundation will manage the camp.
