TULSA, OK-- Legions of loyal fans follow her every move and flock to see her at each tour stop.  Miley Cyrus is coming to Tulsa.  Tickets for her October 12th show at the BOK Center can set you back as much as $82 before fees and surcharges.

If you're willing to pay that much to see the show, you still won't get an actual ticket.  Miley's entire tour involves paperless ticketing.  It's an experiment to combat scalpers, and Tulsa will be a testing ground.

You'll need to bring an ID and credit card to the show in order to get in.  The idea is to keep scalpers out, but some worry it will be more hassle than it's worth.

Tween sensation Miley Cyrus, aka Hannah Montana, is including Tulsa on her nationwide tour.  Tickets may be hard to come by, and if you score one, getting into the BOK Center may be a little confusing.

"Her entire tour is paperless. She is the first artist to ever do this," said BOK Center's Jerry Goldman.

BOK Center management says tickets go on sale June 13th, but unlike other shows, they won't be available at the box office or area Reasor's.

You can only get them online or over the phone.  You will receive a confirmation e-mail, and whoever buys the Miley tickets will have to show up with a credit card and ID.  That means some reluctant parents, stuck between a tween and a hard place, may actually have to attend the concert.

And, they could face long lines to get in.

"There's a million different scenarios that could possibly go wrong. We're not the first stop on the tour, so hopefully these questions will be answered prior to her coming here," said Jerry Goldman with the BOK Center.

Paperless ticketing is supposed to prevent scalping.  But, employees at Starship Records, which sells concert tickets, have their doubts.  They say scalpers are notoriously innovative.

"They've managed to outsmart the system for how long.  They've always managed to get away with it," said Bobby Good with Starship Records.

Still, the BOK Center says Miley's experiment is a necessary one, and the arena doesn't mind serving as a guinea pig.

"I am actually really excited that someone is doing something to combat ticket scalping.  Somebody has to do something because what's being done now is not working," said BOK Center's Jerry Goldman.

Instead of an actual ticket, you will get a printout with your seat location.

To purchase paperless tickets for the BOK Center show go to its web site or charge by phone at 1-866-7-BOK-CTR.
