OWASSO, OK -- The cars begin arriving shortly after 5 in the morning.
The church parking lot in Owasso is dark, illuminated only by the light from the moon and the streetlamps glow.
They step back and forth, and back and forth, varying the warm-up with muscle-building marches.
This is adventure boot camp, an exercise program that is sweeping the country like a predawn invasion.
"You definitely have to set the alarm and get up and get going with your morning," said early-riser Tina Bottger, "but the good thing is it's over, you've done you exercise for the morning and you're awake.'
Amanda Evans runs Owasso Adventure Boot Camp, and while she is encouraging to the women, she is also driving them very hard physically.
"Ladies appreciate that challenge," Amanda said. "If they were just coming out here for the social hour they would not be getting the results they're getting. We have a lady who's lost 9 pounds in two weeks, we also have a few that have been anywhere from 3 pounds to 6 pounds."
And the women have their own reasons for pushing themselves this way.
"I have my twenty-year reunion for high school coming up, so I had to do something," said Amy Hill. "It's great because it's different every day."
Evans says it's as rewarding for her as it is for the women she teaches.
