TULSA, OK -- Three of American Airlines' ace mechanics were honored on Monday for their high-flying careers.  James Hyder, Russell Law Junior, and Raymond Wisner were recognized for each spending 50 years keeping planes in the air.

The master mechanics were quick to give credit to their co-workers.

"The people that work here at American are amazing.  They've got some of the finest mechanics I've ever worked with. Some of the work they do, you could take a picture of it, put it in a maintenance manual, and it's good," said Raymond Wisner.

The Charles Taylor Master Mechanic Award is named after the mechanic who worked with the Wright Brothers on their first flight.
