SALLISAW, OK -- Voters in Sequoyah County will be voting next week on liquor-by-the-drink.

A petition was circulated last year asking for the special election and county officials say enough signatures were obtained for Sequoyah County to call for the special election.

The election will be Tuesday 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

The last time Sequoyah County voted on a liquor-by-the-drink proposition was February 1990.

Voters who wish to cast in-person absentee ballots can cast their votes from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday or on Monday at the Sequoyah County Election Board at 117 S. Oak in Sallisaw.
