Tulsa's U.S. Attorney Hospitalized

TULSA, OK -- The News On 6 has learned the U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of Oklahoma is being treated in a Dallas hospital.

David O'Meilia is being treated for an undisclosed illness.  At last word, he was listed in serious condition.  Officials say it is not swine flu.

The News On 6 has been told he was traveling at the time and was admitted to a Dallas hospital several days ago.

Officials with the U.S. Attorney's office say O'Melia is expected to return to work when he recovers but that there is no timetable for his return.

O'Meilia has served as the United States Attorney for the Northern District of Oklahoma since October 2001.
