Toby Keith Says No To Governor's Race

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- Country music star Toby Keith says he won't be running for governor of Oklahoma.

The Oklahoman's Washington bureau reports that Keith told the National Press Club Tuesday that being a politician means he would have to get along with too many people.  And, he said he "couldn't deal with all the lies."

Keith is leaving later Tuesday for Afghanistan where he'll do more than a dozen shows for the military. He's already played more than 100 shows for U.S. troops in Bosnia, Kosovo, Iraq and
Afghanistan.
