UNDATED -- Oklahoma public schools are $3 million richer. The Cherokee Nation gave the money to nearly 100 school districts in northeastern Oklahoma.
It comes from the sale of Cherokee Nation car tags and benefits not only Cherokee students but any child who attends the schools.
Since 2002, the tribe has given more than $16 million to area schools.
