Owasso Teacher Resigns

OWASSO, OK -- The Owasso School Board has accepted the resignation of a high school teacher charged with sexual battery of a student.

39-year old Doug Woolery resigned at a school board meeting Monday night.

Owasso Police say Woolery inappropriately touched a 16-year-old boy while on a choir trip last year.

Before he resigned, Woolery had been suspended with pay by the school district.

Doug Woolery was the director of the Owasso High School Performing Arts Center and taught choir for the district.
