Wagoner Man Dies In Crash

WAGONER, OK -- A 32-year-old Wagoner man died Wednesday when his car ran off the road and hit a tree.

The crash occurred about noon on State Highway 51 about 1 ½ miles east of Wagoner, according to an Oklahoma Highway Patrol accident report.

A car driven by Cody Eugene Hardcastle was eastbound on the highway when it went left of center and off the road into a tree, the report states.

Hardcastle died at the scene. He was not wearing a seatbelt and did not have any passengers.

His condition at the time of the accident was listed as unknown, but troopers determined the crash happened because of inattention.
