Oklahoma Schools Seek Bond Issue Approval

Tuesday is an election day and a number of school districts across eastern Oklahoma are hopeful voters will pass bond issues.

TULSA, OK -- Tuesday is an election day and a number of school districts across eastern Oklahoma are hopeful voters will pass bond issues.

In Sapulpa, there are two issues on the ballot. One is for nearly $30 million in bonds for construction. The other asks for $450,000 for transportation.

In Mannford, there is a $3.8 million bond issue on the ballot for construction.

To the south of Tulsa, LeFlore Schools are asking for $385,000 in construction bonds. Another $80,000 would go for transportation.

And in Cushing, two bonds totaling more than $2 million will be decided on Tuesday. $1.3 million would pay for construction and the rest for transportation.

Voters in many other communities will also decide on various council seats and other issues.

Polls are open until 7 p.m.
