CARDIN, OK -- A Green Country post office is no more. Residents of Cardin, Oklahoma will have to go somewhere else to get their mail from now on.
The town's post office closed on Saturday after its lease expired.
Cardin is one of five communities in northern Ottawa County known as Tar Creek.
The government is spending $60 million to relocate families and businesses from Tar Creek because the area is contaminated by lead and zinc from decades of mining.
