TULSA, OK -- Officers with the Tulsa Police Department are investigating a bank robbery at an IBC Bank branch located at 42nd and Garnett. The robbery happened shortly after 9 a.m. on Wednesday.
Police say a lone suspect entered the bank with a black semi automatic pistol and jumped the counter. The man demanded cash from the tellers and gave them a white trash bag, police say.
Police say the tellers complied with the man's demands and the suspect fled on foot south through the apartment complex, just south of the bank.
No employees were injured.
The suspect is described as 5'8" - 5'10", 170-180 pounds, wearing a long black trench coat, a gray hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans and white tennis shoes.
This is the 12th robbery of a financial institution this year.
