BROKEN ARROW, OK -- The Broken Arrow School Board fires back against a group of taxpayers who claim the district misspent their money.
Ten taxpayers filed a demand letter in January saying the district gave a heating and cooling company preferential treatment and that company over-charged the district.
The school board is now calling the notice legally defective.
A resolution by the board says four people have dropped out, so the taxpayers no longer have legal grounds to demand anything.
The attorney for the taxpayers says that's not true and they can still proceed.
