OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- The Oklahoma Hospital Association has started a web site giving patient quality and safety information for 80 Oklahoma hospitals.
Association President Craig Jones says the site will also help hospital officials learn ways to improve medical care.
Jones says the site allows users to search and compare hospital information on 45 patient safety measures such as how hospitals work to reduce surgical infections. It also has information on treatments for heart attacks and pneumonia.
Participation in the web site is voluntary by the hospitals and most of the information is already available through federal agencies. But Jones says the Oklahoma site will be easier for users to navigate.
