TULSA, OK -- Some Tulsa Red Cross volunteers are in Lone Grove. They're talking with people affected by Tuesday's tornado. The Red Cross already has a shelter set up.
The Tulsa volunteers say their job is to find out what other needs residents have and try to meet them.
One volunteer says he understands how devastating tornados can be. His sister was living in Del City when a twister blew through town. That's why he's looking forward to doing whatever he can to help the people in Lone Grove.
"The Red Cross just gives me a great opportunity to be involved with people, to support them in their need and to be compassionate in a way that all of us need to be," said Tulsa Red Cross volunteer Randy Diamond.
Volunteers say the Red Cross will stay in Lone Grove as long as the job takes.
