Edmond Ranch Welcomes Baby Camel

While most people were catching the Super Bowl half-time show, Boys Ranch Town in Edmond was welcoming a baby camel.

EDMOND, OK -- While most people were busy catching the half-time show during the Super Bowl or enjoying game day snacks, Boys Ranch Town in Edmond was welcoming their newest resident -- a baby camel.

Steeler is two weeks old. The baby camel was born during half-time of the Super Bowl.

Steeler's first days were touch and go because he wouldn't eat, but all of the residents pitched in to feed him and now they say Steeler is a perfect name for their newest friend.

"He's like an ox now. You try to handle him, he's a pretty stout little camel," said Brent Thackerson, Boys Ranch Town.

Steeler will live at Boys Ranch Town and participate in live nativity reenactments around Christmas time.
