TULSA, OK -- A driver was arrested late Friday after leading Tulsa police on a slow-speed chase.
Officers tried to pull the man over on Interstate 244 near Yale Avenue, but he didn't stop. They tried using stop sticks several miles later, but the driver kept going, never more than 25 mph.
The pursuit continued west through downtown and onto U.S. 64. The vehicle stopped in the median at the 33rd Street West exit, where the driver tried to run away but was caught.
When officers asked him why he didn't stop, the man said he thought it was a prank and didn't believe actual officers were trying to pull him over.
