UNDATED --  The Oklahoma Supreme Court is being asked to force Public Service Company of Oklahoma to reduce its $81.4 million utility rate hike.

The Oklahoma Industrial Energy Consumers group had asked the Oklahoma Corporation Commission to reduce the increase by about $26 million, but Monday the commission said it didn't have the authority to do that.

The OIEC says the hike could have a devastating impact on businesses during these tough economic times.
