Man Shot In Back At Tulsa Apartments

TULSA, OK -- A man was arrested after a shooting at a Tulsa apartment complex Saturday night.

The shooting happened about 9:30 at the River Glenn Apartments in the 1300 block of East 63rd Street, Tulsa Police Capt. Richard Alexander said.

The victim was hospitalized in serious condition after being shot in the back.

A group of people were outside when a neighbor exited his apartment and a fight broke out, Alexander said. The neighbor went back into his apartment and returned with a gun.

Witnesses told officers the neighbor shot one of the men in the group. He fired another shot to scare the others away, but no one else was hit.

Tranell Travis, 24, was found in his apartment and arrested after being identified as the shooter, Alexander said.

Travis was booked into the Tulsa County Jail on two counts of shooting with the intent to kill. Bond was set at $150,000.
