Tulsa Man Arrested For Robbery And Carjacking

TULSA, OK -- Tulsa Police arrested Deontey Shaw on suspicion of robbery and carjacking.  He had reportedly shot himself between the time the crimes were committed and when police found him.           

A man says Shaw stole his phone and car in east Tulsa, near 13^th and 87^th East Avenue.  A little while later, officers saw the stolen car near 11th and Mingo and started chasing it.        

During the chase, police say they saw Shaw thrown a gun out the window before wrecking.

Tulsa Police found Shaw walking along Memorial Drive with a gunshot wound.  He was taken to the hospital, and then to jail.
