Tulsa Group Offers Prayers For New President

Tulsa residents gathered together early Tuesday morning to show their support for President Barack Obama and Vice President Joe Biden.

TULSA, OK -- Tulsa residents gathered together early Tuesday morning to show their support for President Barack Obama and Vice President Joe Biden. 

Linked arm and arm, the group walked from the Vernon Chapel Church to the Greenwood Culturual Center singing "We Shall Overcome." 

The event start at 8 a.m. Tuesday with an inaugural prayer services at the church. 

Representatives of the Hindu, Jewish, Christian and Islamic faith communities offered blessings and prayers to our nation's new leaders. 

After the prayer service, the group met at the Greenwood Cultural Center to watch the inauguration of our nation's first African American President.
