TULSA, OK -- Jerome Jordan scored a career-high 25 points and snared 10 rebounds to lead Tulsa to a 69-50 win over Marshall on Saturday.
Tulsa's 7-foot junior center scored the Golden Hurricane's first eight points, reached double figures in the first eight minutes and had 16 by halftime as Tulsa (12-6, 2-1 Conference USA) opened up a 37-21 lead.
Jordan made 7 of 12 field-goal attempts and 11 of 12 free throws and added three blocked shots.
Guard Damier Pitts led Marshall (8-9, 1-2) with 19 points, 8 of those coming at the free-throw line. The Thundering Herd show a season-low 30% and were outrebounded 41-23.
Ben Uzoh, who had 16 points, four rebounds and three assists, limped off with 4:43 left after being fouled underneath. Tulsa coach Doug Wojcik said Uzoh had a slight ankle sprain.
