Mild temperatures and some scattered showers are forecast for the next couple of days in Oklahoma before a cold front pushes into the state on Sunday.
The National Weather Service said sunny skies are forecast for New Year's Day across the state, with daytime highs in the 50s to mid 60s. Some clouds are expected Thursday night, with overnight lows dipping into the mid 20s to around 40 degrees.
Sunny skies and warm temperatures are to continue on Friday, with daytime highs climbing into the mid 50s to lower 70s.
A chance for rain is forecast on Saturday in southeast Oklahoma, with highs from the upper 50s to mid 70s and overnight lows from the upper 30s to upper 50s.
Much colder weather is expected on Sunday as a cold front moves into the state. Highs are expected from the mid 30s to mid 50s, with overnight lows from the upper teens to the lower 40s.
Mostly cloudy skies are expected to continue on Monday, with a chance for light rain or a wintry mix of precipitation. Daytime highs are to range from the mid 30s to mid 50s, with overnight lows from the upper teens to mid 30s.
