TULSA, OK -- The Salvation Army is stepping up to make sure no one goes hungry this holiday season.
On Saturday, hundreds of volunteers packed more than 4,500 baskets with food items for those in need.
The food was donated by local school food drives and dozens of children showed up to make sure those baskets were filled to the top.
"It's a large food basket, it's got enough to feed a family of four for a solid week, is what we like to try to do, so the week of Christmas they have enough food and not have to worry about it," said Brad Borror of the Salvation Army.
