UNDATED -- An Oklahoma native and military icon was honored for his service on Veterans Day. Retired Army General Tommy Franks was inducted into the Oklahoma Military Hall of Fame.
General Franks is from Wynnewood, Oklahoma and became Commander in Chief of the U.S. Central Command in 2000. General Franks led the initial attack on the Taliban in Afghanistan in response to the September 11th terrorist attacks.
He also led the 2003 invasion of Iraq and the overthrow of Saddam Hussein.
