BROKEN ARROW, OK -- The peaking sunlight spotlights an unfamiliar sight. The quaintness of fresh coffee, hot food and contagious smiles.

"Broken Arrow is getting bigger and bigger and you can come in here and see the same people all the time," said Broken Arrow linebacker Drake Ballew. " It's just a great atmosphere - especially the food."

Twelve hours to kick-off, a pair of Broken Arrow football players are among heaping plates of food, the morning paper and all kinds of conversation. It's just another Friday morning at the Tastee Treat.

"You come in here and just get your stomach full on some nice eggs, sausage and hash browns," Ballew said. "You just get your mind ready and talk to friends, coaches and get prepared for the upcoming game."

Quarterback Cale Fulps started the Friday morning tradition last year. As the seasons changed it became a hot spot for hungry Tiger football players after summer workouts.

"This is where you can find half the team ordering the jumbo cheeseburger and the spicy curly q's," Fulps said. "It's kind of the norm around here. You can always find a truckload of football players."

And every Friday, you'll see some of the 4-and-1 taking in the tastiest pre-game ritual.

"The Tastee Treat has been the secret to success," Fulps said. "I love it in here."
