Cooler temperatures are in Oklahoma's forecast as seasonal weather pushes deeper into the state.
The National Weather Service says temperatures today were 5 to 10 degrees cooler in the wake of the cold front which moved through the area yesterday.
Overnight temperatures will be cool with light winds and clear skies across the area.
A secondary surge of cool air is expected to move southward through the state on Wednesday. Quiet weather will persist through the end of the week with an upper ridge persisting over the Rocky Mountains.
Moderating temperatures are expected Friday and Saturday as a developing low pressure trough returns southerly flow to the area.
The trough could bring a chance of showers to the forecast Sunday through Monday.
