Two Injured In Head-On Accident

Two people were taken to a Tulsa hospital following a head-on traffic accident Wednesday morning.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says the accident happened just before 10 a.m. on I-244 at 33rd West Avenue.

Troopers say an eastbound pickup truck veered left, hit a sign and crossing the median into the westbound lanes. A SUV headed west struck the pickup truck.

There is no word on the condition of either driver.

OHP troopers say the road was wet at the time of the accident, but they are not sure if it was a factor in this accident.

Their investigation into the accident continues.
