TULSA, Okla. (AP) -- Arraignment is scheduled today for a former high school English teacher charged on the shooting death of his wife in Tulsa.
Following a preliminary hearing last month, a Tulsa County judge ruled there was sufficient evidence for John Kastner to be tried on a first-degree murder charge.
Lori Moon Kastner, a former Oklahoma Supreme Court attorney, was found dead on June 25th. She was shot twice in the head.
John Kastner initially told police an intruder broke into their home and used the couple's gun to shoot her and that he was shot in the hand during a struggle for the weapon. Police say the story fell apart under investigation. He is 50 and she was 44.
