TULSA, OK -- A robber shoots his way out of A Tulsa credit union on Friday.  It happened at the Oklahoma Central Credit Union on 51st Street between Harvard and Yale.

The suspect demanded money from two tellers.  Once he got the cash and ran out, credit union employees activated a security system that trapped him between the two front doors.  That's when the robber shot out the glass of the outer door and crawled out to the parking lot.

"We can't tell people to take any type of action against these bandits because you know, they don't wanna get caught.  And, they will fire rounds if that means they're going to get caught or captured," said Tulsa Police Sgt. Dave Walker.

Tulsa Police say the suspect is a black man, between 25 and 35 years old.  He's under 6-feet tall and about 160 pounds.  He was last seen wearing all black and a white bandana.  He was driving a white compact car.

Anyone with information about the bandit is asked to call Crimestoppers at 596-COPS.
