American Reconsiders Tulsa Lay Offs

There's a change of plans for American Airlines in Tulsa.  Sources tell The News On 6 that American Airlines will not lay-off any maintenance workers in Tulsa this year after all.

The company had warned its Tulsa workforce to expect hundreds of lay-offs this fall.  But, on Thursday, it was learned that the Tulsa maintenance base will not cut any jobs this year.

On the other hand, there is still a chance that mechanics with more seniority from other cities could displace workers here.

The deadline for that decision is Friday.
