Three Injured In Overnight Accident

A Collinsville man is dead after crashing his truck head-on into a tractor trailer.

The accident happened just before midnight on 116th Street North near Yale just east of U.S. Highway 75.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says 38-year-old Carlos Velazquez drove his pickup truck across the center line and hit a semi-truck head on.

Velazquez had to be cut from his vehicle and was taken to the hospital, where he died.

Two people in the semi suffered slight injuries and will be okay.

Troopers say alcohol may have played a role in the accident, but they are still investigating.
