Child Injured After Being Hit By Truck

A Tulsa child was rushed to the hospital Sunday evening after being hit by a truck. It happened a little after 7:00 near 54th Street North and Peoria. Police say the 5-year-old boy chased a ball into the street and was hit in the leg.

Officers say the truck drug him for a short distance. They say he was conscious and talking when the ambulance left for the hospital.

An investigation is underway. Police won't comment on whether the driver will face any charges.
