High Temps Create Surge In Power Demand

PSO says high temperatures can cause a surge on their system.  But, a spokesman says the company has plenty of electricy in reserve to handle it.

They say most of the usage is between 4 p.m. and 7 o'clock at night, when most of us are getting home from work.

That demand pulls close to 4,000  megawatts of power for PSO's  half-a-million customers.
