Construction Worker Killed By Dump Truck

An accident takes the life of a construction worker. The Oklahoma Highway Patrol reports a dump truck was backing up to unload gravel. The construction worker was in the driver's blind spot and was run over. The accident killed him.

The fatal accident happened around 7:30 Tuesday morning on Highway 66 between Catoosa and Verdigris.

Troopers say construction crews are working on a project to rebuild the roadway there. Traffic to that area is closed off.
