Chicken Drumsticks

For children, drumsticks often seem to be the best part of the chicken. And in this edition of Get Cookin' features a fun recipe using cereal with chicken drumsticks.

Ingredients:
1 ½ - 2 cups Rice cereal (Rice Krispies)
1/3 cup pecans, finely chopped
4 Tablespoons honey
2 Tablespoons lite teriyaki sauce
12 drumsticks, skinned (2-3 pounds)
Pepper

Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 425ºF.
2. Place the Rice Krispies in a bowl and crush slightly with your hands. Mix in the pecans.
3. Mix the honey and teriyaki sauce together in a large bowl.
4. Season the drumsticks with salt and pepper, then place them in the honey mixture (coat evenly). Next, roll the drumstick in the cereal mixture until it is coated well.
5. Place the drumsticks on a large baking sheet and cook until the meat is done and the coating turns golden brown. It will take approximately 30 minutes.

Yield: 6 servings

Nutrient information per serving: 340 calories, 12 grams fat, 2 grams saturated fat, 250 mg sodium, 25 grams carbohydrates, 1 grams fiber, 31 grams protein.
