Officer Under Fire Submits Resignation

A Muskogee Police officer on administrative leave has resigned.  Kris Ledford, 30, is charged in Tulsa, Muskogee and Wagoner counties with impersonating a police officer and selling stolen guns. 

Kris Ledford submitted his resignation letter on Friday.   Muskogee Police officials say a decision has not yet been made on proceeding with a termination hearing. 

Ledford has been on administrative leave with the Muskogee Police Department since May 28.
