Arrest Made In Assault On Trooper

HENRYETTA, Okla. (AP) -- A man wanted for assaulting an Oklahoma Highway Patrol trooper is now in custody.

Captain Chris West says Joe Dean Smith has been arrested. Details of the arrest were not immediately available.

West says Smith assaulted the trooper during a traffic stop shortly before 9 Thursday night.
