Bank robberies aren't that common in Green Country, so when one happens, detectives and FBI alike are anxious to catch the suspect. News On 6 crime reporter Lori Fullbright reports the robbery happened on Tuesday, June 10th at the Bank of America at 7878 East Admiral Place around 10:30 in the morning.
The suspect pretended to be a customer, got in line and waited his turn.
"He hands the teller a note, stating this is a bank robbery, I have a gun, put money in the bag," said TPD Officer Leland Ashley.
Detectives say there was another similar bank robbery after this one and they believe the suspect could be the same in both.
The suspect is described a black male in his early 20's, about 5-feet-10, 160 pounds, was wearing a camouflage hat and blue jacket.
"This individual was described as having severe acne, that alone, should make him stand out a little bit," said Officer Ashley.
If he's done it once or twice, police fear, he'll keep doing it, so they want him caught.
