There are new developments to bring baseball to downtown Tulsa.
Tulsa Mayor Kathy Taylor told members of the city council Wednesday morning that private donations will pay for at least 50 % of the new stadium construction cost, estimated between $55 million and $60 million.
Taylor proposed the rest of the money would come from a proposed new Tulsa Stadium Improvement District, which could replace the current Downtown Improvement District when it expires next summer.
The City of Tulsa and the Tulsa Drillers have until July 15th to reach an agreement.
