TPS Power Outage Update

Severe weather on Sunday knocked out power to 80 to 90% of TPS' schools and sites. Find out which schools are still without power.

Severe weather on Sunday knocked out power to 80 to 90% of Tulsa Public Schools' schools and sites. Several district properties were damaged.

As of 3:00 on Monday afternoon, utility crews had restored power to all but the following sites:

Foster Middle School
Cooper Elementary School
Penn Elementary School
Peary Elementary School
Lewis & Clark Middle School
Hawthorne Elementary School
Jones Elementary School

Summer classes and programs at all of the above schools will be canceled for Tuesday, June 3. Public Service Company of Oklahoma has assured TPS officials that schools are among their top priorities for restoration.

Following are the TPS sites and structures that sustained damage during the Sunday storm:

Rogers High School - near hurricane-force winds blew off part of the field house roof
Hale High School - winds blew over baseball backstop
East Central High School - football post snapped in half
Columbus Elementary School - several trees down
Whitney Middle School - several trees down
Addams Elementary School - gutter and roof damage
Salk Elementary School - large tree down
