A presidential disaster declaration for Ottawa County has been expanded to include three more Oklahoma counties.

Residents living in Craig, Latimer and Pittsburg counties who experienced property damage or other losses due to tornadoes and flooding May 10 through 13 are now included.

This expansion of the disaster declaration clears the way for them to receive federal and state disaster assistance.

Federal officials say disaster recovery centers will be set up within the next couple of days, so those eligible can meet face-to-face with representatives of various assistance programs.
