A car crashed into a convenience store and barely missed a 7-year-old boy. It happened about 9 p.m. on Friday at the Max Mart on North Harvard.
Witnesses say a beige Mercury didn't stop and went right into the front of the building.
A father in the parking lot says his son was inches away from being crushed.
"I just give thanks to God that my son's alive," said Jose Alvarez. "He was just walking out man. I mean, just barely seconds. Coulda hit him."
The driver sped off after the crash.
